A shared vocabulary for product, engineering and operations.
| Term | Meaning |

| APY | Annualized yield measurement. API APY fields generally use decimal fractions: 0.05 displays as 5%. |
| Asset | The underlying token identified by chain and contract address, not just its symbol. |
| Attribution | The link between a customer, partner and optional campaign. |
| Adapter / provider | Contract integration that connects the vault to an underlying market. |
| Basis point | One hundredth of a percentage point. 100 basis points equal one percentage point. |
| Compounding | Keeping earned value deployed so future returns apply to the larger position. |
| ERC-4626 | A standard interface for tokenized vaults, covering assets, shares and deposit/redemption operations. |
| Ledger | Ordered movement records used to explain changes in a balance. |
| Partner API | The service for attribution, partner reporting and operational data. |
| Protocol fee | The protocol's configured fee; partner revenue is calculated from the relevant fee base. |
| Rebalancing | Changing the allocation among underlying providers. |
| Reconciliation | Comparing balances and movements across accounting and onchain records. |
| Sandbox | A simulated API environment for prototyping a customer flow. |
| Shares | Tokens representing a proportional vault position. Share units differ from underlying asset units. |
| TVL | Total value locked or tracked in the stated scope. Check asset, timestamp and valuation method. |
| Vault | The contract through which assets are deposited and represented by shares. |
| Webhook | A signed HTTP event delivered to an integration's registered receiver. |
